Today I thought I’d continue our talks about attire. This is something people often aren’t quite sure about. You probably know what I’m going to say, but I’ll wait until the end of the post.
When I was getting married, my mother in law had lots of advice given to her at work. Largely, it was “wear beige and stay in the background”. The thing is, she is a very important person to me. I knew her before I knew my husband and consider her a close friend. I didn’t want her to stay back and hide. We talked about jewel tones as they would work with our black, white, and emerald scheme. She ended up in a beautiful sapphire floor length dress and looked amazing.
So here is my advice: talk about it. See if you can both be happy with the choice and remember: your parents are an important part of your day too.
Lots of Love,
